Our major supplying foundry is located in India and has supplied us with high integrity castings for over 6 years. Our products consistency has allowed major companies to produce budgets and forecasts of performance and costs using UCL castings. The Sims Newport shredder of 9,200hp is running UCL hammers and grids exclusively and has enjoyed total reliability and consistent performance for over 3 years. Castings are packed into containers at Nagpur, India by UCL’s dedicated shipping and forwarding agent. The typical lead time for castings is 10-12 weeks for delivery to our Alfreton depot, although we endeavour to reduce this where possible. We can store stocks in secure conditions until delivery at the appropriate time. UCL are currently achieving a success rate of 99.6% of on-time deliveries. UCL are unique in their flexibility, due to fractional drawing revisions. Compared to the UK foundries, UCL can accommodate alterations and revisions very quickly and cost effectively for customers.
